Fighting against underage gaming
Inform the public
We communicate extensively to the public to convey prevention messages on the ban on underage gaming through:
- Signage, on-screen and print campaigns in all our points of sale.
- And preventive campaigns (with more than 10% of our advertising budget devoted to responsible gaming).
Train and verify FDJ UNITED retailers
All the retailers of the Group’s network receive continuous support and training, with a particular focus on the prevention of underage gaming. Controls are being conducted in the point of sales through mystery shoppers to make sure retailers do not sell games to minors, with sanctions if they do.
Preventing excessive gaming
Control game design
Before the launch of a game, the Responsible Gaming team systematically verify that the models, wording and level of attractiveness of the game fully comply with the Group’s player protection standards.
Carry out preventative information campaigns
We produce campaigns aimed at promoting responsible gaming. Messaging raising awareness around excessive gaming is regularly broadcast on our websites, apps, and in our points of sale.
Offer players tools to bring their gaming under control
Across our website and app, we provide different types of tools for gamers to maintain control over their gaming.
Detect and protect vulnerable players
Over 10 years, we have developed various approaches to detect vulnerable players: from the training of our teams and network of retailers, to a dedicated team, specifically in charge of contacting players who have been identified as vulnerable, to advise them and help them find help from partner organisations.
